I've spent my entire life surrounded by technology. A child of the 80s, I grew up alongside the PC, and cut my teeth on the first gaming consoles. I learned to program on monochrome screens. I've been lucky to be in the right place at the right time to take advantage of many of the trends that shape our world.

I believe that technology takes what we are an amplifies it. Technology makes us more human, better at being human. I believe that all of us have the right and responsibility to define what technologies we will allow into our lives, and how we use those technologies to go about our daily lives. I believe that, right now, in the second decade of the 21st century, mathematics and computer science are the keys to understanding and taking control of one's life. I believe that the choices that this generation makes about technology and our relationship with it are going to reverberate for decades to come.

These are big topics, and I hope to be able to speak to them in my own little way here.
